AN INTRODUCTION TO ORAAYAM FOUNDATION
We, a group of students who were classmates at Jaffna Hindu College during the period 1971 to 1977 got together for a friendly discussion through an online meeting on 18th April 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic lock-down time. The main outcome of this meeting was a healthy conclusion that we have to pool our vast experience and expertise amassed during this pandemic ‘leisure’ to contribute in a meaningful manner to the betterment of our community back home and in general to vulnerable communities globally. Thus originated the ORAAYAM FOUNDATION.
The members of this Foundation are all past students of Jaffna Hindu College now living in the following eight countries : USA, Canada, UK, United Arab Emirates, India, South-Africa, Australia and Sri Lanka. The ORAAYAM FOUNDATION has been registered in Canada as a non-profit Organization.
